"I met with Max this week and it was one of the best experiences I have had meeting with an insurance agent. I was looking for a new insurance company because my homeowner's insurance had doubled in 2 years and my auto insurance had increased by $500 for 6 months as compared with 2 years ago - without me filing any claims. Max and State Farm were able to offer me higher coverage on both home and auto for a lower cost than my 2 years ago price at my previous company. Max was very helpful in explaining everything. No high-pressure selling. Couldn't be happier with his service."

"I wish I could leave a stellar review for Max and State Farm, however it’s been about 3 1/2 months since we had a small flood, and we are still not complete. After attempting to call Max several times over the last few months, I have still never gotten ahold of him. I have, however, spoken with no less than 8 people from State Farm, some whom said they were taking Max’s overflow, and some who were also taking overflow for the overflow. I have rarely spoken to the same person twice. Thankfully we were finally able to make some repairs, after State Farm said that they would only cover the repairs if done with a preferred vendor. Even working with a preferred vendor there were several delays after State Farm went back and forth about pricing and what they would cover. Now that our repairs have been done, we are still in limbo since we had all of our items in the home packed out and stored while they worked on carpet. It’s been weeks without our items, and when we called Tierra, our claim specialist today, she stated that she hasn’t gotten around to approving the paperwork for the pack out company. When we explained that we are living in an empty house and need our things back, Tierra said that she will get to it eventually but she can’t give us a timeline. I am rarely one to post bad reviews, but I’m at a loss and really don’t know what to do anymore. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Max or State Farm. Update: Thanks for the reply, Max. But the email address you provided below is invalid."

Please do me a favor and send me an email at your earliest convenience, max@maxsinsurance.com In the meantime, I will investigate your claim and reevaluate how my office interacts with customers throughout the claim process. The difficulties you have gone through are definitely not part of my business plan. I would never intentionally ignore any customer and I’m so sorry this has been your experience! I have no good excuses, besides that we are a growing office and we always strive to provide the best customer service. 99 times out of 100 our amazing claims department completely handles everything and most claims are taken care of without our office getting involved. I know you’ve already gone through this hard experience, but I really would appreciate talking to you one on one so I can work on our systems and processes so this never happens to anyone ever again. I do appreciate your feedback and will do everything in my power to make this right, and make it so this doesn’t happen again! "

"Had originally given a 5 star review because it had been a smooth ride but that must have been because I never actually needed anything. Now that I do need help from the office it’s been difficult to get anything processed correctly. Since December (we are now starting March) I have been trying to have a simple coverage change and it is STILL WRONG. I’ve called a few times and emailed the agent directly but for some reason the request is still not correct despite my multiple attempts. That aside, most recently I called in to make a payment and the staff took the funds from a completely different card that I did not authorize- even after I read back the card number twice. I totally understand that we are human and mistakes happen but at some point it does get a little frustrating because at the end of the the day it’s my finances that are being impacted."
